ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan mens soccer dropped a 3-2 Big Ten decision to 14th-ranked Maryland on Friday at U-M Soccer Stadium after twice erasing one-goal deficits, including an 85th-minute equalizer that lasted only seconds.

Henry Bernstein put the Terps ahead in the eighth minute. Grayson Elmquist answered in the 33rd for his fifth goal of the season. Ljubo Popovic restored the Maryland lead in the 74th. Guy Michaeli tied it again late on helpers from Thomas Fraser and Joao Paulo Ramos before a deflected ball in the box put Maryland back in front for good.

Isaiah Goldson stopped seven shots for Michigan and helped set up the Elmquist goal. Michigan is 3-5-4 overall and 0-3-3 in Big Ten play. Maryland is 8-3-1 and 3-3-1 in league play. The Terps outshot the Wolverines 17-14.

Michigan generated early looks from Elmquist, Michael Ramirez and Michaeli before the late collapse. The Wolverines travel to Rutgers on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.

Maryland next hosts St. Johns on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. on B1G+.
