# Streets of Treats Caps a Halloween Week in Northville

NORTHVILLE, Mich. — Northville’s busy October calendar heads into its final full week with four family events between Thursday and Saturday, ending with trick-or-treating on downtown streets.

The Northville Community Center hosts Alive in Spirit, a Day of the Dead celebration, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. The same building holds Halloween Bingo the next afternoon, Friday, Oct. 23, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Younger children can head to the Northville District Library that Friday morning for the Mini Monster Mash, which runs from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.

Streets of Treats takes over downtown Northville on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon. The downtown Skeletons Are Alive display stays up through Oct. 31 for anyone who wants another look, set among the Victorian-era storefronts that surround the historic Town Square.

The downtown development authority bills the community as the city that does October best, and the season of events keeps going after Halloween. A Rising Professionals Fall Mixer for area chambers is set for Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 5 p.m., and the Holiday Lighted Parade follows on Nov. 20.
