NORTHVILLE, Mich. — Northville Public Schools congratulated three candidates elected to the Board of Education after unofficial returns from Wayne, Oakland and Washtenaw counties, with results still still awaiting Board of Canvassers certification.

Incumbents Melissa Stuart and Kim Campbell-Voytal were elected to second four-year terms. Incoming member Michael Cook will begin a term Jan. 1, 2027, that runs through Dec. 31, 2030.

The three names were the only candidates on the nonpartisan ballot for the three open seats. Voters could select up to three candidates. Oakland County listed all six of its precincts reporting, and Wayne County showed nine of its 10 precincts in in early unofficial tallies.

Board President Carin Meyer is stepping down at the end of December. Board member Lisa McIntyre, who won election to the Michigan House of Representatives, will also leave the board at month’s end, and the district said more information on the appointment process will follow.

The seven-member board sets the budget, adopts policy and hires personnel for Northville Public Schools. Final districtwide totals remain unofficial until canvassing is complete.
