NORTHVILLE, Mich. — Groups hoping to roll through downtown Northville in this year’s Holiday Lighted Parade have until Nov. 12 to sign up, as the Northville Chamber of Commerce lines up entries for the Nov. 20 event.
The parade steps off at 6:30 p.m. that Friday and wraps up with the official tree lighting in Town Square. The 2026 theme is Home for the Holidays, and the yearly lineup draws bands, dancers, floats and Santa.
Accepted groups will get lineup instructions by 5 p.m. on Nov. 16. The chamber chooses which entries march and favors polished, eye-catching units that match the theme.
A Sensory Zone along Linden Street, set up with the Living and Learning Enrichment Center, gives a calmer viewing spot for people sensitive to flashing lights and loud sounds. Entries passing through it are asked to lower their music, pause sirens and horns and switch to steady lights.
The parade follows downtown Main Street through a National Register historic district of Victorian buildings that surrounds Town Square.
The parade anchors a wider Hometown Holiday Weekend downtown, with activities from 3:30 to 9 p.m. on parade day under the Downtown Development Authority schedule, and festival events continue Nov. 21 and 22.
