Each year, Detroit Catholic honors the valedictorians and salutatorians from local Catholic high schools, acknowledging their academic and personal accomplishments.

Recipients of this prestigious recognition vary by school since selection criteria differ; not all schools award the same number of valedictorian and salutatorian honors. This year’s honorees include students who are set to pursue a diverse range of majors at esteemed colleges and universities, showcasing their hard work and dedication throughout their high school years.

This year’s list includes remarkable students such as:

  • Isabella Seth from St. Daniel, Clarkston, is the valedictorian and will attend the University of Notre Dame to major in Biochemistry.
  • Presley Krywko, the salutatorian, will also be heading to the University of Michigan for International Studies.
  • Emma Bristol, valedictorian from St. Joan of Arc in St. Clair Shores, will pursue Elementary Education at the University of Michigan, while her classmate Mary Griffin, the salutatorian, will head to Rochester Christian University for the same major.
  • Cameron “Cami” Brewer, valedictorian from St. Hugo of the Hills, will be studying Chemistry at the University of Michigan, and Katherine “Kate” Boucher, salutatorian from St. Anne, Warren, will major in Biomolecular Science at University of Michigan – Ann Arbor.
  • Quinn Callaghan, a valedictorian from Holy Name, Birmingham, will study Political Science and Pre-Law at the University of Michigan, while Daniel Holt, a valedictorian from St. Irenaeus, plans to attend Vassar College for Computer Science.
  • Max McCarthy, valedictorian from Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Beverly Hills, is going to major in Economics at the University of Michigan. In contrast, Henry Clement, the salutatorian from St. Regis, Bloomfield Hills, will attend the University of Notre Dame focusing on Engineering.
