HOUGHTON, Mich. — Owen Bartoszkiewicz, a senior goaltender from Northville, has added a national mention to a strong first month in net for Michigan Tech.
The Men’s Hockey Commissioners Association released its first monthly honors of the 2026-27 college season on Friday, and Bartoszkiewicz was listed among the runners-up for goalie of the month. The association credited him with a .942 save percentage and a 1.76 goals-against average across eight October games.
Two days earlier, the CCHA had named him its Goaltender of the Month. His October included a 30-save shutout of Alaska on Oct. 16, and he made 30 or more stops four separate times. He topped the league’s goalies with 228 saves and led conference goalies in shutouts, while ranking second in both goals-against average and save percentage.
The award follows a busy first season with the Huskies, when he started 38 of 39 games and posted 23 wins.
The 14th-ranked Huskies finish a home series with eighth-ranked Augustana on Saturday night, with the puck set to drop at 6:07 p.m. at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena.
