Canton Township, MICHIGAN
A heartbreaking incident unfolded early Monday when a local woman got hit by a car on Michigan Avenue. Tragedy struck around 1:15 in the morning. You could almost hear a pin drop at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Haggerty Road when this happened.
The unfortunate victim was a 39-year-old woman from here, the Canton Township. The local folks mentioned she was simply crossing the road when a silver Acura slammed into her. Let’s just say, things looked pretty bad.
She was quickly taken to the nearest hospital where she’s currently fighting for her life in critical condition. The whole area’s been buzzing with prayers and wishes for her recovery.
As for the driver, it was a 21-year-old man coming from Detroit, driving west on Michigan Avenue. Give credit to the police for their swift response. They’ve mentioned that there wasn’t any whiff of alcohol on the driver’s breath. But who knows, right? They’re still trying to put the pieces together to get a clearer picture of what went down.
The matter is still under serious investigation. We’re waiting on pins and needles to hear more, and hoping for justice to be served.
This incident is a grim reminder for all of us to be more cautious on the streets, especially in the late hours. Let’s keep an eye out for each other and make our journeys safer for everyone.
And to the lady who got hurt, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
