New Luxury Apartments Rapidly Filling in Metro Detroit
In Metro Detroit, the latest luxury apartment complex, The Apex West Bloomfield, is winning the hearts of residents faster than expected. Officially opened last month, over 70 of its apartments have already been leased, which is nearly double the speed anticipated by its developers.
The five-story building, situated on 7020 Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield Township, specializes in luxury and convenience. What was once the former Cauley Chevrolet site, now caters to young high-earning professionals and older empty-nesters in search of a hassle-free lifestyle provided by the apartment amenities.
The Apex flaunts an impressive array of features. From a stylish outdoor plaza with a swimming pool and hot tub to community club rooms boasting dual big-screen TVs, this complex promises a decadent living experience. In addition, it’s brimming with other amenities such as a game room, a vast gym, and a ground-floor lobby that gives off the vibes of high-end boutique hotels.
Interestingly, while in most newly developed apartments in Detroit, the priciest units are typically the last to lease, the scenario at The Apex is singing a different tune. The pricier apartments, including the $6,000-per-month three-bedroom units with over 1,900 square feet, have already been leased out.
Randy Wertheimer, CEO of Hunter Pasteur Homes, one of the prominent teams in real estate investment involved in the development, stated that their overall goal was to create an elevated living experience unique to metro Detroit, complete with top-tier amenities, state-of-the-art technology, and exceptional customer service.
The demographics of the witness success so far can be largely classified into two distinctly different categories. First, the young professionals aged 25-35, who are yet to start families, and second, those above the age of 55 whose children have already left the nest. Apparently, the luxury, location, and amenities of The Apex are hugely appealing to those seeking to lead a laid-back life.
The development of this luxury apartment complex made possible through a $2.7 million Brownfield development incentive, aims to take a step up in the luxury market. They also hint at their next project, the 152-unit Birmingham Pointe, which they speculate will be a hot spot for pro athletes, who in today’s world primarily prefer to rent rather than own homes.
The Apex ensures residents enjoy a lavish lifestyle, with tailored artwork across the lobby, corridors and common areas, a full-time concierge service available daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., sound-dampening windows for road-facing units, high-end finishes, abundant closet space in each unit and plentiful EV charging stations on-site.
