In Livonia, a tense scene unfolded on Saturday afternoon when a man was hit by a car while trying to run across I-96. The incident took place near Merriman around 4:30 p.m., prompting multiple calls to the Detroit Regional Communication Center.
The man, aged 30, was reportedly attempting to cross the busy freeway when he was struck. First responders from Livonia EMS quickly arrived at the scene and began administering CPR to him. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital.
Fortunately, the man regained a pulse once he reached the hospital and is currently receiving treatment. Specific details about his condition have not been made available yet.
According to the Michigan State Police, the driver of the car that hit the man stopped and fully cooperated with the investigation. The family of the pedestrian has been notified about the situation.
