The spot at 30130 Plymouth Road is has been host to some other big names in the past, including Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri’s eatery, Chicken Guy! Sadly, Fieri’s venture shut down after only a year. This is another chance for the location to shine under the fame of a celebrity name.
The basketball legend’s restaurant, Big Chicken, is popular for its signature fried chicken sandwiches, sides, and shakes. From the menu, some items that stand out include the “Shaq Attack,” which offers a delightful combo of fried chicken, spicy jalapeño slaw and topped with pepper jack cheese and a spicy chipotle BBQ sauce. From what we have heard, the Livonia location is the first of about 20 stores that are planned for Michigan, a strategic expansion move by the restaurant. It follows the opening of Michigan’s first Big Chicken earlier this year in Clio. Besides, another Big Chicken branch is bustling at 10490 Highland Road in Hartland.
