Plymouth Township Celebrates the Grand Opening of Prime BBQ Smokehouse

Plymouth Township Welcomes Prime BBQ Smokehouse!

Hey, Plymouth Township! Get your taste buds ready, because there’s a brand new spot in town serving up some seriously delicious barbecue! Prime BBQ Smokehouse has just opened its doors at 44741 Five Mile, right in the heart of the township, taking over the previous space of Bad Granny’s BBQ. And let’s just say, you’re in for a treat!

Ribs, Pulled Pork, and the Star of the Show!

At Prime BBQ, you can sink your teeth into a menu filled with mouth-watering options like ribs, pulled pork, chicken tenders, and wings. But the real showstopper? Owner Wally Yasso insists it’s the brisket that keeps customers coming back for more. “Our brisket is definitely the favorite,” Yasso shares, and it’s no wonder why! They use high-grade Angus beef and special rubs that pack a flavor punch.

A Menu that Keeps on Growing!

Opening on November 10, this new location not only brings the BBQ goodness but also expansion! “The menu is a lot bigger now,” says Jen Jeczen, the former owner of Bad Granny’s BBQ, who is thrilled to be stepping in to operate the new franchise. Guests can expect a variety of sides that perfectly complement their meats. Yasso mentions they’re famous for their mac and cheese, baked beans, green beans, and collard greens. Not a meat-eater? No problem! Almost all of their sides are vegetarian-friendly—with the exception of the green beans, which are cooked with bacon for that extra delicious flavor.

Feeding Families and Friends!

If you’ve got a hungry family or a bunch of friends to feed, look no further! Prime BBQ offers a meat sampler platter that’s a hit for groups. For just $59.99, you’ll get seven different meats, four generous sides, and four kinds of bread! That’s a feast fit for four to six people, making it the perfect choice for your next gathering.

From Family Roots to Local Favorite

Prime BBQ isn’t just another restaurant; it’s a family affair! Launched in 2020 amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wally Yasso along with his brothers, Eddie and Sam, began with a modest investment of $10,000 to snag restaurant equipment from a spot in Monroe, Ohio. The Yasso brothers have always had a passion for cooking and it shows in their food! “That’s how we grew up making money, working in different restaurants,” shares Yasso, emphasizing their deep-rooted love for the culinary arts.

Exciting Plans Ahead!

With the new Plymouth Township location, Prime BBQ now boasts three eateries with exciting plans for more in the near future! Another location is set to open soon on Telegraph near Seven Mile, which means even more opportunities for BBQ lovers to dig in. Despite facing challenges like soaring food costs and fluctuating foot traffic, Yasso remains optimistic. His strategy? Embracing delivery and catering services to meet the growing demand. “We work with DoorDash, GrubHub, and other delivery platforms. A lot of companies want us on site to serve their employees,” he mentions.
