If you’re located in Westland, Michigan, or nearby areas and are considering adopting a new pet, you’re in luck as Meet Your Best Friend at the Shelter is returning on Saturday, Sept. 14.
This event takes place at the Berman Center for Animal Care from 10 am to 2 pm. In collaboration with local animal welfare organizations, more than 150 animals will be waiting to be adopted and welcomed into a loving home.
Not only will you have an opportunity to adopt animals from the Michigan Humane, you will also have animals from the Lincoln Park Animal Shelter, No Dogs Left Behind, Good Karma Puppy Rescue, and the Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society to choose from. The participating organizations will have a diverse variety of dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens available for adoption.
Keep in mind to bring a valid, state-issued photo I.D. If you have pets already, it’s best to leave them at home during the event. Each organization has its own adoption requirements and fees will vary, so remember to check them out before going.
Want more information about this event? You can find more details on the adoption process, the available animals, and much more at the Michigan Humane’s website.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to not just find a fantastic new addition to your family, but also to contribute to the humane work these organizations do every day. Remember, their goal is to provide these animals with safe, caring homes!
