NORTHVILLE, Mich. — The Northville High School football team earned another week of playoff football, and the next step brings one of the toughest draws in the state.
The Mustangs, now 8-2, opened the MHSAA playoffs Friday, Oct. 30, by holding off Woodhaven 28-19 in the first round of district play.
Next up is Saline, which sits at 10-0 and carries a No. 9 state ranking into the district final.
The two programs met in 2024, when Saline won 37-7 on Nov. 2 of that season.
Game dates and kickoff times for the district finals, which could fall on Friday or Saturday, are expected to be announced in the next few days.
The winners keep chasing a trip to Ford Field in Detroit, where the 11-player state finals are scheduled for Nov. 27-28.
